eDiscovery AI Release Notes September 2, 2025

Overview

This release of the eDiscovery AI Relativity Plugin delivers a consistent set of feature updates across Relativity One and Relativity Server 2023 and 2024. Each version of the plugin is tailored for its respective Relativity environment, but all share the same enhancements and improvements.

Key Updates

Case Elements Checkbox for ECA Jobs:
A new checkbox has been introduced to automatically run case elements for Early Case Intelligence (ECI) jobs. This checkbox is enabled by default, ensuring that case elements are always run on ECI jobs. Currently, this feature does not incur any additional billing charges.

Enhanced Error Handling and Logging:
We’ve significantly improved user error alerting and overall stability. User-facing error messages are now more detailed and actionable, reducing confusion and page crashes. Additionally, a new Relativity error log object has been implemented to capture major errors. This log will assist support teams both on our side and on the client or vendor side in troubleshooting issues more effectively.

Submission Improvements:
We’ve increased the character limit for the attorney list field and enhanced validation messaging for all text boxes. This ensures that validation errors are clearly communicated to the user. We’ve also fixed a bug in the “load from previous” feature specifically for the Relativity Server 2023 version of the plugin.

Instance Setting Cleanup:
We have removed the creation of the document size limit in instance setting for new installations. While this setting will no longer be added on new installs, any existing instances can safely retain it without any negative impact. Document size limits are now handled on the backend.

Permissions Check:

After installation please verify that the eDiscovery AI Request – Data Service Access permission is set on the eDiscovery AI service account. Even if previously enabled, this permission may reset with any new plugin installation.
